  • Wichita, KS (1888PressRelease) October 19, 2011 - Danish garment maker F. Engel has adopted Klopman International's Vantage fabric featuring INVISTA's CORDURA® brand technology for the new eye-catching garment collection, TECHZONE, under the brand WorkZone®. This adoption combines multiple strengths in the workwear industry: the experience of Klopman as a leading European fabric manufacturer, the innovation of F.Engel as a leading Danish workwear brand, and the renowned durability of INVISTA'S CORDURA® fabric technology.

Klopman Vantage fabric made with CORDURA® NYCO fabric technology is based on an intimate blend of INVISTA T420 nylon 6.6 fibre and combed cotton. Using Klopman's expertise in dyeing and finishing has generated a transition of valuable CORDURA® brand fabric technology from the military uniform market to benefit the world of workwear. For more than 45 years, CORDURA® NYCO fabrics have shown their durability in some of the military's toughest environments. Klopman Vantage based on CORDURA® NYCO fabric technology provides an optimal combination of durability and comfort for European workwear garment industry.

"With our longstanding relationship with Klopman International we have built a mutually trustful cooperation that we take great value in," said Marit Honnens Petersen, F. Engel marketing director. "We chose Klopman Vantage fabric featuring CORDURA® brand technology for the TECHZONE by WorkZone® collection because we believe that this fabric unifies what we see as market demands: A light weight garment with high durability, comfort, reliability and, last but not least, breathability."

Klopman Vantage featuring CORDURA® NYCO fabric technology is a 250 g/m2 twill fabric which utilizes a blend of 50/50 cotton and high tenacity INVISTA T420 nylon 6.6 to deliver a durable and comfortable alternative to established polyester/cotton workwear fabrics. The fabric is specifically engineered to provide high levels of tensile and tear strength, as well as significant improvements in abrasion resistance as compared to standard heavier weight polyester/cotton fabrics in the market today. Based on this exceptional abrasion resistance, traditional heavy garments worn by trade people such as electricians, builders and brick-layers, can be replaced by garments utilizing Klopman Vantage fabric featuring CORDURA® brand technology without compromising durability and performance.

The TECHZONE by WorkZone® collection features a wide range of models, including vest, jackets, a special bricklayer jacket and four new kinds of trousers with different features:

    - Bricklayers trousers with high reinforcement designed for protection when working with bricks and extra hard-wearing reinforcements at leg ends.

    - Electrician's Trousers with hanging pockets, numerous tool pockets, extra hard-wearing reinforcements at trouser back leg ends and reinforced knee pockets, and adjustable knee-pad positioning.

    - Carpenter's Trousers with reinforced knee pockets, adjustable knee-pad positioning, and extra hard-wearing reinforcements at trouser back leg ends.

    - Service Trousers with spacious thigh pockets including integrated ruler pocket and patch back pockets with flap.
