  • (1888PressRelease) October 12, 2010 - Located three miles east of downtown Lincolnton, the hospital anchors a 64-acre medical campus that includes the new Emergency Department, hospital and a 40,000-square-foot medical office building. Emergency Medicine Physicians has staffed the ED at CMC-Lincoln since January 2010 with EM Residency-trained, board certified Emergency Medicine Physicians who provide urgent and emergency care 24 hours a day. The EMP Emergency Physician staff are highly experienced and certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Trauma Life Support, and Pediatric Life Support. The ED serves over 35,000 Lincoln County residents each year.

    Construction of the new hospital began in 2008 on a former dairy farm and honors Lincoln County's history by features such as the use of 250,000 bricks from a historic textile mill and a Lifeshare Memory Garden honoring local organ donors.
