NBA Stars Came Out To Shine in Support of the Lou Williams Foundation

  • Atlanta, GA (1888PressRelease) November 23, 2011 - The sold out exhibition game featured some of the Nation's top pro basketball players hooping it up in support of the Lou Williams Foundation.

    Participating players included Lou Williams (76ers), Dwight Howard (Magic), Allen Iverson (Turkey), Damien Wilkins (Hawks), Anthony Morrow (Nets), Joe Johnson (Hawks), Jarrett Jack (Hornets), Derrick Favors (Jazz), Jeff Teague (Hawks), Trey Thompkins (Clippers), Solomon Jones (Hawks) and Travis Leslie (Clippers).

    The "Old Atlanta" team coached by Dion Glover (Spurs) took the lead early against Lindsey Harding's (Atlanta Dream) "New Atlanta" team but the battle in this fast paced game went to the end with a 2 point win for the veteran players. "The game gave us a chance to go hard. Gotta stay sharp and be ready." Williams further states, "I really appreciate the support of my home team and the fans for making the game a success!"

    Attendees had the opportunity to win autographed Lou Williams game worn shoes for 1/2 court shots while enjoying the antics of Dwight Howard in the dance battle.

    The Lou Williams Foundation's recent coat drive produced 500 coats for those in need as well as supplying book bags at a back to school event to help students start the school year off prepared.
