National Steinbeck Center And Hospice Foundation Team Up Dec. 6 To Light Tree Of Life In Salinas

  • Salinas, CA (1888PressRelease) November 29, 2013 - On Friday, Dec. 6 from 5-8 p.m., the National Steinbeck Center and Hospice Foundation will present the lighting of the Tree of Life at the Center, located at 1 Main St., Salinas. The event will be part of the First Friday Art Walk in Oldtown Salinas.

    The Salinas High School choir, Youth Orchestra Salinas and the Hartnell Jazz Band will also perform as part of the celebration beginning at 5:30 p.m.

    The Tree of Life will be situated on the Center's rooftop. It is adorned with thousands of white lights, each named in tribute to someone and representing a donation to support local end-of-life care services. It will be lit at 6:15 p.m.
