    Beginning her career in hospitality in 1988 at the Hilton Hotel in Manila, Lorna McDougall Johnston then relocated to Dubai, UAE to work for the Sheraton Hotel, gaining exceptional leadership and customer service skills. In time, she began to specialize in process improvement and process standardization and by 2005, after joining the management team of Sands Casino and Venetian Resort Hotel and Casino in Macao, they had asked her to help spearhead their Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). After releasing 18,000 SOPs of the company, they put Ms. Johnston through Six Sigma training in order to lead and set up their new Quality Assurance department.

    Ms. Johnston formed her own business, SOP SPOT, in Boise, Idaho, as Chief Executive Officer, planning, developing, organizing, implementing, directing, and evaluating her services, business relationships, fiscal functions, and performances. Providing insight on the importance of on an effective and up-to-date SOP for individual businesses within her community, especially in the industry of hospitality where there are repetitive situations and tasks, implementing effective SOPs not only conserves time, but also greatly increases employee confidence so that they can focus on developing their areas of expertise.

    "I bring awareness to communities of how vital and inexpensive it is to set a five-star service simply through establishing up-to-date communication and technical procedures," Ms. Johnston explained. "I provide consultations that generate feedback as to how the business can grow if they can consistently deliver effective and efficient service.     Ms. Johnston holds a BA in Marketing from Philippine School of Business Administration. She is a member of Idaho Business League, Meridian Chamber of Commerce, and Women Business Center. Ms. Johnston earned a Bravo Award in the Leadership category among thousands of other employees at the Venetian Resort in Macao. In 2005, she also exhibited all of her paintings at the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization conference hall in Macao, all of which were sold and donated to the organization to help fund children's education in Macao.
