  • West Palm Beach-Boca Raton, FL (1888PressRelease) October 04, 2014 - Connie S. Brookshire, Owner of Professional Standard Chemical & Equipment, has been recognized as a Distinguished Professional in her field through the National Association of Distinguished Professionals. Connie S. Brookshire will be featured in the upcoming edition of the NADP Women of Distinction Magazine in 2014.

Connie S. Brookshire first became involved in the cleaning and restoration industry in 1983 when her husband and she started their cleaning and restoration business. By 1998, they had started their first distribution business, providing chemicals, equipment, and supplies, and consulting with professional contractors in the cleaning, restoration, and remediation field. Fourteen years later, they founded Professional Standard Chemical & Equipment.

As a small business owner, Mrs. Brookshire manages the business, works with research and development on new products and equipment, fosters relationships with both clients and vendors, handles business event planning, customer education, marketing, and business growth and development.

"My expertise is in business. This allows me to help my clients grow their businesses, which in turn helps me grow my business," Mrs. Brookshire explained about her 30-plus years in the industry. "I listen to my clients, I get to know them and their business, and I genuinely want them to succeed. I place a strong emphasis on honesty and integrity to provide my clients with the type of customer service they deserve."

Greatly inspired by her husband Charley, who provided her with the support and knowledge she needed to feel comfortable in the industry, Mrs. Brookshire is also thankful to her parents who taught her good work ethic and encouraged her to believe in her ability to accomplish her goals. Most importantly, she is grateful to her son, who gives her a reason to get up each day knowing that she is capable of great things.

Hoping to continue expanding the business, Mrs. Brookshire would like to open additional locations, improve their internet and social media presence, and take on a greater role in education and consulting. She is currently writing a book for small business, which she hopes to complete soon.

Mrs. Brookshire holds a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources and Organizational Management from Palm Beach Atlantic University. She is also a member of the National Association of Professional Women and was awarded with a Women's VIP Woman of the Year Award for 2014-15 for her contributions to the industry and in business. She was also recognized for bringing the first Mold Certification classes to south Florida after Hurricane Francis in 2004.
