Cathy Tucker initially formed her online business in July 2012 after adopting a former Maltese show dog named "Kelly" who had long hair. Since the dog's hair was always falling into her food and eyes, Mrs. Tucker became inspired to find a painless, knot-free way to keep it up and out of her face.
Forming the Knotless Hair Wrap, an alternative to rubber bands, which always caused the dog's hair to be ripped out with each use, Mrs. Tucker's wrap is a self-adhesive tape that will stick only to itself.
"People and their pets love the wrap because it has stopped the knots and the breakage of hair," Mrs. Tucker said, noting that children and other animals, such as horses, are also using them now, too.
Mrs. Tucker oversees all aspects of running her business, including everything from educating customers on the product to handling shipping orders and inventory.
KTW Wraps, LLC will be hosting a show at the Hershey Lodge in Pennsylvania, located at 325 University Drive, Hershey, Pennsylvania, from September 18-21 in booth 19 and 20 with Pampered Pets. She is very excited for the event and looks forward to showing off her amazing product.
