National Association of Distinguished Professionals Selects Shawn Michael Hescock as a Professional Member of the Executive and Professional Online Registry

- Portland-Vancouver, OR-WA (1888PressRelease) February 24, 2014 - Shawn Michael Hescock, Partner, BIM Trainer and Trainer for IndiviRev and Electrical Designer for McKinstry Co., has been selected as a Professional of the Year Member of the National Association of Distinguished Professionals. The selection recognizes Shawn Michael Hescock's commitment to excellence in Consulting Services.
Shawn Michael Hescock, who holds an AA in Drafting and Design from ITT Technical Institute, and is currently pursuing a BS in Electrical Engineering from OIT, is a certified ACE Mentor who began his career as an electrical drafter for a consulting engineering firm in 2009. After quickly advancing into a designer role, he spent several more years with the company before landing a new job in early 2013 for a design-build contractor. That same year, he founded his own company.
As partner of his small firm, Mr. Hescock is involved in almost every aspect of the business. He manages their Portland office, markets services, does Revit drafting/modeling, BIM consulting, content creation, software training, lighting calculations and renderings, and 3D clash detection.
"I have a great ability to self-teach," Mr. Hescock said. "I can pick up a new software and be able to produce something within just a few weeks. I'm also able to demonstrate the benefits and implement all the necessary tools to produce high quality construction documents."
With the hopes of becoming an Autodesk Certified Trainer for Revit and get his LEED certification, Mr. Hescock would like to continue growing his business and develop new, innovative ways to take advantage of technology to collaborate remotely and efficiently. In December, Mr. Hescock became an Autodesk certified professional for Revit Architecture in 2014. He is also a 2010 ABK National Honor Society recipient for ITT Technical Institute.
