  • Nashville, TN (1888PressRelease) May 28, 2013 - Lauren Winans, a singer-songwriter from West Virginia, can now celebrate her first major label cut. Her song "Carousel" is the first track on pop artist Jason Walker's latest EP "Keep Me Watching," which was released today by Word Entertainment (a company of Warner/Curb). Winans co-wrote the song back in 2012 with Walker who has had much success with placements on television shows Vampire Diaries and One Tree Hill, among others. "Jason & I wrote this song the first time we ever met & both knew right then and there that it was special" she said about the partnership on this song.

Winans, known more for her singing, is glad that she is finally getting some recognition as a songwriter as well. "I am so excited to have my first real cut as a songwriter. Now maybe people will see me as a writer too" she quickly points out.

She recently released her debut single "You're Gonna Luv It" which she also co-wrote. The single reached the Top 40 on iTunes New Releases and just recently reached #1 on the radio charts in Glasgow, MT.
