  • Newark, NJ (1888PressRelease) March 11, 2011 - Businesses are beginning to choose New Jersey again, which is good news for both business in general and commercial real estate in particular. While the economic recovery is a work-in-progress nationally and for the Garden State, a combination of public- and private-sector partners has fostered optimism for the state.

On Wednesday, March 23, 2011, the New Jersey Chapter of NAIOP, the commercial real estate development association, will host a discussion on the Christie Administration's efforts to attract jobs and business to the Garden State. Richard Bagger, Chief of Staff for Gov. Chris Christie, will update the chapter on the Christie administration's efforts to attract and retain jobs and talk about what lies ahead.

Dennis Bone, meanwhile, wears two hats. He is the President of Verizon New Jersey, while simultaneously serving as Chairman of Choose New Jersey, a coalition of major corporations created in late 2010 to work in conjunction with the state to market New Jersey as a business destination. He will discuss this private sector initiative and how it is fostering public/private partnerships to create a better business climate in the state.

Gil Medina, executive managing director of Cushman & Wakefield, will lead the discussion.

Scheduled for the Heldrich Hotel in New Brunswick, the event will begin with registration, networking and cocktails at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner and the program.
