  • (1888PressRelease) August 18, 2011 - Mr. Citarella will remain VP of Bayonne Exterminating and President of RC Consulting. Ralph graduated from The College of New Jersey with continuing education from Purdue University, Rutgers University Office of Continuing Professional Education, the New Jersey Pest Management Association (NJPMA) and National Pest Management Associations (NPMA). Ralph has been giving presentations and sitting on professional discussion panels for both NJPMA and NPMA since 2006. In addition to his speaking engagements, Ralph is an active committee member for NJPMA and currently is the Director of Program and Education Committee as well as Chair of the Internet Committee.

Mr. Frank Como President of BedBug Chasers commented, "We are very pleased to add Ralph to our Board. He brings a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience being third generation in the pest control industry. He has seen the future in green - chemical free pest control with our Bedbug Chaser heater that is manufactured by Avtron. He also understands that our rental program brings affordable state of art technology and services to smaller pest control companies at prices they can now afford, making them able to compete on a level they had not been able to previously."

BedBug Chasers is the first and only nationwide rental source for Avtron BedBug Chaser heaters. Phase one of the program utilizes existing equipment rental companies from Boston to Atlanta to provide complete trailerized packages, which contain all of the equipment needed to remediate an infested area.

The Avtron BedBug Chaser heater is a 100 percent Green and Chemical-Free, high-temperature electric thermal remediation heater. The BedBug Chaser was engineered from the ground up and produced in Avtron's Cleveland, OH facilities. In addition to excellent performance, the BedBug Chaser was designed to give operators the best overall ROI in the industry. The faster you bring a space to critical temperature, the faster the treatment can be completed. This means that an operator can now complete more jobs in less time.

When asked about his appointment Ralph Citarella had this to say, "I currently address many pest control companies both inside and outside of NJ about furthering our industry. BedBug Chasers is one of those rare companies that has been able to combine superior technology, a non-environment effecting green footprint and a better bottom line for the pest control operator. I know the milestones we will be reaching with this company will be industry changing and I know my grandfather would have been proud to see the heights we will be achieving."

Studies have shown bedbugs are building an ever growing tolerance to many of the chemicals used to fight them and heat is the only effective way to kill all the bedbugs plus their nymphs and eggs, which may be deep inside a wall or ceiling. Research also demonstrates that consumers may have to endure multiple chemical treatments and still may not be bedbug free. However, when done properly, a single heat treatment will kill all bedbugs and allow the customer to re-occupy their home within minutes of completion.
