Stay tuned as this announcement will be the official launch of a yearlong charity event that you will not want to miss! The announcement will be made on stage at 4pm sharp!

MotorCity Harley-Davidson has built this event completely around helping local animals in need. They are proud to have also partnered with Central Entertainment Group, The Giving Project, Almost Home Animal Rescue, K9 Youth Alliance and the ASPCA for the charity campaign. All proceeds from this event will benefit Almost Home Animal Rescue, and the year-long charity campaign will benefit all of the outlined organizations.

Created in 2001 Almost Home Animal Rescue had one goal in mind, and that was to care for and find forever homes for so many local animals in need. Co-Founder Gail Montgomery wanted to create an organization that didn’t put these shelter animals to sleep, but rather cared for them until they could be placed with a loving family. After 13 years of being housed out of a city owned building in Southfield Michigan, Almost Home Animal Rescue is being forced out and are looking for a new facility. This is mainly due to a new animal warden that is pro kill. They do have foster families that can home dogs temporarily and they are trying to get the dogs that are in the city owned building adopted out now. The problem is that the city keeps bringing them more dogs. MotorCity Harley Davidson is looking to help right this wrong and your support is greatly needed.

“After volunteering at a number of animal shelters and rescue groups I became disenchanted and sad about the philosophies of so many such organizations. Even the so-called “no kill” shelters were euthanizing adoptable animals. I was devastated, to say the least”, said Montgomery. MotorCity Harley Davidson couldn’t be prouder to team-up with an organization with as much heart as Almost Home Animal Rescue.

This free event is open to the public and will include several activities. There will be live music, full bar and vendors on site. Enjoy a stunt show provided by 1Wheel Customs, Miss MotorCity Bikini Contest beginning at 4:15pm, along with a meet and greet with Ryan Hurst from 1-3pm (tickets for the meet and greet are $35.00 and include a photo and an autograph) Tickets are extremely limited, and can be purchased via Eventbrite at the following link:
