  • (1888PressRelease) February 02, 2018 - Málaga – The acquisition is part of Triora’s expansion plans in Spain. Triora is part of Parnassia Groep in the Netherlands, one of the biggest mental health care organisations in the world, with a 400-year history and employing over 11,000 professionals. Monte Alminara becomes Triora’s second addiction treatment clinic in Spain, having opened a first clinic in Alicante in 2015.

Monte Alminara, which will now be known as Triora Monte Alminara, has been providing addiction treatment in the region for over 14 years.

According to Germán Lechuga, Marketing and Sales Manager of Triora Spain, the acquisition of Monte Alminara is part of a plan that foresees a network of Triora clinics in Spain in the coming years.

“Addiction is a complex disease that affects every realm of a patient’s personal and family life,” says Lechuga. “Over the course of 15 years, Triora has developed a highly successful model for addiction treatment, based both on the experience of people who have successfully overcame addiction, and the expert assessment of our medical professionals”.

“Triora’s model is based on a holistic approach that addresses body, mind and soul. In our treatment programmes, our patients go through a series of activities carefully designed to progressively improve all areas of their lives - from providing them with proper nutrition and daily physical activity, to helping them to recover their purpose in life. Family treatment and social reintegration are also fundamental pillars of the model. Our patients are supported throughout their recovery journey by experts in many fields.”

“Basically, what we do is to fight addiction on many fronts simultaneously. This approach provides the highest probability of long-term recovery and allows our patients - and their families - to regain a meaningful life”.

“Addiction, whether related to substance or behaviour, is becoming increasingly more challenging for many European countries. Our intention is to provide patients and their families with a proven, successful method to overcome this terrible disease, backed by the experience and support of one of the biggest mental health care companies in the world. In 2016, our group supported more than 160,000 people in their recovery; we have our own Addiction Research Centre and we are pioneers in e-health in Europe, just to provide some examples.”

“Addiction is a serious disease, and if you and your family are affected by it, what you really want is to have the best possible treatment provided by a recognised leader in addiction care. In that sense, Triora is one of the best options for addiction treatment available in Spain”, Lechuga concludes.
