Momentum founder Pam Hartley Shares Life Lessons with Tommy Baker's Entrepreneurial at the College of Charleston
Pam Hartley, founder and agency principal of Momentum Marketing, spent some quality time with senior level students at the College of Charleston Tuesday, November 8, 2011.
- Charleston-North Charleston, SC (1888PressRelease) November 12, 2011 - Invited to speak on entrepreneurship by Mr. Tommy Baker, the class professor and owner and president of Baker Motor Company, Hartley decided to share some of her most compelling life lessons and guiding beliefs with the class.
Hartley framed her guiding beliefs in 11 points for the class that included: Add Value, Live in integrity, and Anything is possible.
"I could've easily spoken about marketing concepts, starting a business, or the marketing business as a career," said Pam. "But I decided to share something I've never spoken about in a formal setting before. I basically wrote down all of my 'truths', my guiding principles. I shared them with the class along with the missteps I've made along the way which brought these belief systems to the forefront. I truly enjoyed sharing and hope the students felt served. It was an incredible experience for me and I'm grateful to Tommy Baker for the opportunity."
Hartley lives by one of her guiding principles, The secret to living is giving, which is the backbone of a non-profit organization she and Michelle Scarafile founded in 2008, The Charleston Basket Brigade. Each year they raise money to feed thousands of residents in need in the Charleston area for Thanksgiving.
