  • (1888PressRelease) June 14, 2017 - Mohit Kamboj's message On the day of World No Tobacco Day which was initiated by WHO since the year 2008 BJYM President Mohit Kamboj took the initiative to spread awareness about the ill effects of tobacco and its affect on nation.

    "The people living in poverty are more addicted to tobacco" Said Mohit Kamboj. Also stated this intern results into no food, low healthcare facility and no education. Thus it becomes important for us to literate this people about the ill effects of tobacco and how one can stop from getting addicted to it. It is governments responsibility to spread awareness about the same. It is important to carry out various programes for the same.

    Tobacco use leads most commonly to diseases affecting the liver, lungs and heart. Smoking is a major risk factor for strokes, heart attacks, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) (including emphysema and chronic bronchitis), and cancer (particularly lung cancer, cancers of the larynx and mouth, and pancreatic cancer). It also causes peripheral vascular disease and hypertension. The effects depend on the number of years that a person smokes and on how much the person smokes. Starting smoking earlier in life and smoking cigarettes higher in tar increases the risk of these diseases. Also, environmental tobacco smoke, or secondhand smoke, has been shown to cause adverse health effects in people of all ages.

    Mohit Kamboj also stated that is individuals responsibility also to stop using tobacco and help in a better environment.
