  • San Diego, CA (1888PressRelease) October 27, 2010 - Food Network fans will be flocking to Little Italy beginning Mondays this fall: Modul Studio, a contemporary kitchen design studio and showroom with custom countertops and appliances, is welcoming Marcela Rodriguez, aunt of Food Network Star Marcela Valladolid, to host cooking classes inspired by the new book and T.V. show, Mexican Made Easy.

Valladolid will appear at Modul Studio to kick-off the course, sign recipe books, and join her aunt who will be heading the cooking series.

Valladolid is a celebrity chef, author and host of the Food Network show Mexican Made Easy, which is currently in its second season as of June 2010.

Rodriguez will hold the 3-hour, hands-on cooking course in the Modul Studio showroom (2136 Kettner Blvd.) which will consist of five recipes taught and prepared during each session.

Each class will have no more than 14 individuals, replicating recipes from Valladolid's most recent book and learning the techniques she uses to create each dish.

Teaching Valladolid how to cook in her early years, Rodriguez will be running the weekly classes and highlight the traditional methods she used when teaching her niece the basics of prepping, cooking and garnishing.

The public is invited to sign-up for the classes, held every Monday night beginning at 6 p.m., and purchase two classes for $150.
