Mira Telecom delivered 4 C.B.R.N. mobile labs worth 5 mil. lei for ISU Caras-Severin, Hunedoara, Arad and Timis

  • (1888PressRelease) October 21, 2012 - The company delivered four CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear ) mobile labs for soil decontamination to the Agency of Intercommunity Development for Emergency Situations Management (ADIVEST). The direct beneficieries will be the Inspectorates for Emergency Situations of Arad, Caraş Severin (Resița), Hunedoara (Deva) and Timiş (Timișoara) counties.

    The Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Mobile Lab is intended either for intervention in nuclear, bacteriological and chemical accidents or for decontamination of intervention staff and of those who were affected. The mobile lab equipments investigate, acquire and process effectively and quickly the situation on the spot, by all means, store and transmit raw data and the evaluation of remote measurements (either manually or automatically). The data transmission is done either at ISU county dispatches, adjacent to the area or to other centers such as the environment center, depending on the required tactical situation.

    Mira Telecom delivered the CBRN mobile labs for ISU Arad and ISU Hunedoara in September, while the mobile labs for ISU Caraș Severin and ISU Timișoara were delivered in October, this year.

    ADIVEST bought the mobile labs worth 5 mil. lei with EU funds , within the project "Aquisition of specific equipment for the improvement of capacity and quality of the emergency intervention system and for granting emergency medical assistance and qualified first aide, in Region West 5". The project benefits from financing within the Regional Operational Programme 2007-2013, Axis 3 "Improvement of social infrastructure", DMI 3.3 "Improvement of endowment with equipment of the operational bases for intervention in emergency situations."

    The project's objective targets the improvement of the response capacity of the institutions specialized in emergency situations and the increase of the population safety degree, the development of the operational regional base and the improvement of the existing county bases by equiping them with specialized equipment for emergency situations.

    Since 2011 Mira Telecom has delivered CBRN mobile labs to ISU Giurgiu, Constanța, Brăila, Teleorman (Alexandria), Argeș (Pitesti) and Ialomița (Slobozia).
