  • (1888PressRelease) November 23, 2011 - Westermans International, one of the UK's largest and best recognised suppliers of refurbished welding equipment and machinery are celebrating Christmas early this year, as they report a 25% increase in turnover for 2011.

Marketing Director at the firm, Claire Spillane, attributed their success to two factors. She said, "Our range of stock is wider today than it has ever been. This has enabled us to deliver a record number of machines. I also name some of our success to making a pro-active decision on our e-marketing strategy. The campaign has certainly helped boost sales throughout 2011 and we're anticipating even more success in 2012."

Westermans' record turnover may also be attributable to global success with orders arriving from almost every corner of the globe. With fresh orders coming from as far away as Peru and Tasmania, special mention must be made to the closer shores of Europe and Africa, from which orders have increased substantially over the last 12 months.

The firm are also pleased to report the receipt of recurring orders from China. Despite China's best known position as an importer of goods to the UK, Westermans has had regular contact with Chinese organisations over a need for specialised orbital welding equipment.

Yet despite booming global prosperity, orders from the UK have still composed more than 50% of Westermans' turnover; a great sign of the success and safety of UK manufacturing in the welding and fabrication industry.

However, it is Bulgaria, India, Russia and surprisingly Greece who have been the top spending countries with Westermans this year.

The nations' industrial sectors have been responsible for ordering high performance welding equipment, necessary for use in stainless steel fabrication.

Claire spoke again about plans for the firm's future, "Over the next three years we plan to invest in the expansion of our premises and the employment of new staff members. We hope this will give us the resources needed to gain entry into even more emerging markets while continuing to provide the world with the best value welding equipment in the used marketplace.

We'd also like to thank all our customers and suppliers who have enabled Westermans to develop both the company and products and who without, our success would not have been possible."
