  • (1888PressRelease) March 25, 2013 - Dubai, UAE - Informa Life Sciences Exhibitions, organisers of the 5th Hospital Build & Infrastructure Middle East Exhibition & Congress, have announced that the nominations for the annual Hospital Build & Infrastructure Awards 2013 will remain open until 25 April 2013.The Awards recognise leaders in the healthcare industry who have devoted their efforts to building hospitals that help improve healthcare services in the Middle East and raise the bar in providing world-class patient care. They will also act as a platform to promote the professionals who have worked hard to achieve a hospital environment that enables and promotes a healthy life.

    The award categories for 2013 include Best Hospital Design (Built or Future), Best Physical Environment (Built), Best Sustainable Hospital Project and Best Healing Environment, and Best Technology Initiative Award. Professionals involved in developing healthcare facilities in the Middle East should nominate projects or organisations that deserve recognition in line with these categories. Nominations can be submitted via the website (www.hospitalbuild-me.com) and will close on 25 April 2013.

    The Hospital Build Awards winners will be announced on the 3 June at the Hospital Build & Infrastructure Middle East Exhibition & Congress, which will run from 3-5 June 2013, at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

    The winners for 2012 Hospital Build & Infrastructure Awards included Best Hospital Design (Built) - Burjeel Hospital, UAE; Best Hospital Design (Future) - Cannon Design for the King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre, KSA; Best Physical Environment - Dubai Health Authority's Dubai Diabetic Centre, UAE; Best Sustainable Hospital Project -Sheikh Khalifa Medical City by HAAD & ITS, UAE; Best Technology Initiative - Surgical Technology Innovative Facility by Hamad Medical Corporation, Qatar; Best Healing Environment - International Medical Centre, KSA; Best Initiative to Improve Health Care Facilities - HAAD Health Facility Guidelines, UAE; The M+Health Award for the Best Health Care Initiative by a Telecom Provider - Du, UAE.

    Hospital Build & Infrastructure Middle East 2013 will bring together investors, commissioners, backers and managers of major healthcare building projects together with planning, design, building, operations, management and refurbishment suppliers. Running alongside the exhibition is a multi-disciplinary congress consisting of eight leading conferences that will focus on delivering up-to-date information which will address all the disciplines involved with the hospital build process.
