  • (1888PressRelease) February 22, 2013 - Comprised of twin brothers Adriano and Alessandro, and their sister Francesca; Birmingham based band Miccoli have previously been renowned for high profile tours. Having played the Viper rooms and every other key rock venue across America; and also playing at the Wireless Festival (UK), it could be safe to say that the band have already enjoyed their fair share of success.

However, after band member Alessandro suffered a recent health scare, Miccoli have decided to now focus solely on releasing music, and upcoming EP 'Idle Stranger' certainly lives up to expectations.

Having worked with renowned hit maker John McLaughlin (Sandi Tom and Echo and the Bunny Men) on the title track, it certainly has an anthemic song structure, and is sure to be a big hit. Despite their youth, the EP is a subtle display of maturity and strength. Sitting comfortably within the pop-rock genre, Miccoli's sound is characterized by strong guitar melodies and subtle, hauntingly beautiful vocal harmonies. For this reason, they have been compared to both Snow Patrol and Cold Play on several different occasions.

During their teenage years, when the idea of a band was still being formulated, the brothers worked backstage as roadies and runners at one of Birmingham's major arenas; where they were inspired by some of the greatest acts of the last ten years to develop their own music and transform their musical aspirations into a reality. Certainly, their musical influences (which include Sting, Carole King, Fleetwood Mac and Crosby Stills and Nash, amongst others) have had an impact on the distinctive sound they have become known for today.
