The certification enables Bergman to perform weld inspections and related activities as described by AWS B5.1.

    Prior to joining Laboratory Testing Inc. in 2008, Bergman worked as a metallurgist performing metallurgical examinations and failure analyses for nearly ten years. He is a graduate of Michigan Technological University with a Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical & Materials Engineering. As Metallography Supervisor, he oversees LTI's Metallurgical Lab and all metallurgical testing including microhardness, case depth, grain size, coating thickness, alpha case, weld evaluations and other examinations.
