  • Dallas, TX (1888PressRelease) February 28, 2013 - Mecca Design and Production, a premier event and trade show exhibit design group, works with BRV, Biederman Redevelopment Ventures, to create unique outdoor elements for the ongoing enhancement of the public outdoor spaces at Wake Forest University, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, this spring. The elements include a solar-powered piano, two rolling bookracks, and two additional racks to house magazines on one side and newspapers on the other. University staff and students will utilize the Mecca-created, solar-powered electric piano as part of newly created schedule of concerts and events for the campus. The four special rolling metal bookracks, as seen recently at Dallas' new Klyde Warren Park, will give more reason for students and staff to take a break in the outdoor spaces on campus.

BRV, Biederman Redevelopment Ventures, is the private consulting firm of Daniel A. Biederman, who transformed Manhattan's Bryant Park from a scary area to a vibrant and popular outdoor oasis, redevelops and manages parks and public spaces all over the country.

Mecca creates unique elements for parks, museums and more. Mecca constructed the outdoor elements for Wake Forest University to invite students and staff to further enjoy the space and to meet the needs of the diverse university community.

Mecca's collaboration with BRV proves to be a perfect partnership: BRV specializes in urban redevelopment, and Mecca specializes in creating one-of-a-kind elements. Together they successfully fulfill the University's dream to reinvigorate the outdoor public spaces and bring excitement to the spaces and amenities for the hard-working people who visit every day.

According to Mecca Design and Production's Kenneth Mecca, "It is a pleasure to work with BRV to create unique pieces for the University and be a part of such a vibrant outdoor renovation."
