Smith III, Juris Doctor (JD) of nationally recognized public accounting firm Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Farra, LLP (MBAF), has been promoted to director in the Private Client Wealth Services Group at MBAF's Tax and Accounting Department. Previously, Smith served as a manager at MBAF. Smith's concentrations are in the areas of comprehensive wealth transfer strategies, tax planning, entity structuring and asset protection with an emphasis on representing wealthy families and entrepreneurs. Prior to joining MBAF, Smith was associated with a national accounting firm, serving various capacities for the trust, estate planning and administration tax, investment and compliance areas of major financial institutions.

Smith was a practicing tax and estate planning lawyer in Connecticut and Florida, and he frequently speaks at seminars on tax, financial, and estate planning topics. Smith has served on the editorial advisory board for a national estate planning publication, has been a speaker for the FICPA, regional and national ABA conferences, and the Florida Attorney/Trust Officer Liaison Conference.

    Smith is very active in the community, and has served as the chair for the Boca Raton Children's Museum Capital Campaign, YMCA of Boca Raton Development Committee and The Morikami Museum Development Committee; and as the vice chair for the American Red Cross South County Advisory Board and the Caldwell Theatre Board of Directors.

    Smith earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from St. Bonaventure University and a Juris Doctor from Quinnipiac University School of Law.
