Located in the heart of Cambridge’s Harvard Square, guests can take in the series of live performances from some of Berklee College of Music’s alumni, while enjoying Beat’s signature dishes and hand-crafted libations.

    Throughout the evening, Executive Chef James Lyons will be preparing his favorite seasonal flavors, including small plate options like Hummus Plate with Spiced Lamb and English Pea mojo rojo ($14.5) and ‘Fall-Off-The-Bone’ Baby Back Ribs ($15.50). Entrée selections include Moullard Duck Breast with beet gazpacho, almonds, aged balsamic and grainy mustard yogurt ($28) and Fried Fish Tacos with lime, avocado, slaw, Spanish rice and black beans ($22). Compliment the meal with a glass of wine from Beat’s recently updated vintages of 36 artisanal American wines from its state-of-the-art tap system, or opt for a hand-crafted spring cocktail like the American Breed with bourbon, St. Elder Elderflower liqueur and apple cider ($13) or the Grapefruit Julep with mint, vodka, pomegranate and grapefruit ($12.5).

    Soul icon, Marvin Gaye, known as the “Prince of Soul” and “Prince of Motown” is credited with challenging the limits of soul as he combined his passion for soul, gospel, jazz and pop to create a genre that was truly his own. As a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and recipient of the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, Gaye’s influence and legacy continue to be recognized and appreciated across the nation.
