  • (1888PressRelease) October 15, 2010 - Singapore - Marina Bay Sands has opened more parking spaces on its property. Guests will benefit by easier parking at reduced rates.

Drivers can now self-park at Marina Bay Sands for S$6 in the first hour, and S$1 for every subsequent 30 minutes, up to a maximum of S$26 per day. The revised rates apply every day, from 7 am to 7pm. These rates are down from a previous S$8 for the first hour, and S$2 every half hour, up to a maximum of S$28 in a day.

Those who choose to valet park at the Casino or Hotel can also enjoy lowered rates at S$12 down from $18 previously for the first hour inclusive of valet charges, and S$1 for subsequent 30 minutes, up to a maximum of S$26 per day.

Under the new rates, if a driver self-parks for four hours during the day, it will cost him S$12, instead of S$20 previously, translating to cost savings of over 60 per cent.

Marina Bay Sands has also introduced new fixed parking rates for two groups of drivers: those entering the 2,500-lot property after 7 pm; and those using the facilities at Sands Expo and Convention Center during the day.

Between 7pm and 7am, drivers coming to Marina Bay Sands in the evening can enjoy a flat S$6 per entry if they self-park in the property. Those who valet-park pay only S$12 per entry.

Additionally, guests attending events at the Sands Expo and Convention Center can pay a flat rate of S$6 per entry, from 7 am to 7 pm, from Monday to Friday. This means business delegates using MICE facilities in town will pay the lowest car park rates at this hotel in Singapore (http://www.marinabaysands.com/).

"As the traffic and business to Marina Bay Sands grows day by day, we have opened up more transport options in line with our customers' needs. Marina Bay Sands now offers a wider range of nightlife venues including late-night shopping and new entertainment outlets and we have introduced a new per-entry parking structure for the convenience of our guests. Marina Bay Sands will continue to expand our transport offerings to drivers and the general public in the coming weeks," said Marina Bay Sands President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Thomas Arasi.

Drivers can also make use of a 650-lot satellite car park at Marina South (located on Marina Grove). This off-site car park offers a S$10 per entry Park & Ride scheme and a complimentary shuttle bus ride to and from Marina Bay Sands. This car park operates from 9 a.m. until the last car leaves the property.
