  • San Jose, CA (1888PressRelease) July 31, 2013 - Lync is a popular communications system Microsoft sells to businesses. Lync is similar to Skype (also owned by Microsoft). Fisil released its own Lync app for iPhone, called "Wync for Lync" on Apple's iTunes app store. Wync has some advantages over Microsoft's iPhone Lync app:

    - VoIP on Lync 2010
    - Good iPhone5 display
    - Same client works on both Lync 2010 and 2013
    - Same core code is used on other operating systems:
    > Fisil has Lync apps on Linux, Android, Mac, Windows and iPhone
    > Fisil is now preparing its Android version for August release on Google Play.
    - Wync can be customized for a corporate user quickly to match their network configuration, add features, etc.

Fisil's Linux Lync app has chat, VoIP, video, file transfer, screen sharing and app sharing.

Most Lync users are still on Lync 2010, partly because migration to Lync 2013 server is a large project.

Thus there is a great need for Lync 2010 VoIP apps.

Customer feedback for Wync is very positive, focused on its good iPhone 5 support, and ability to login on some servers where Microsoft's app fails to login.

Fisil is located in Santa Clara, California. As of July 20, it has 8 engineers working on Lync projects.
