  • (1888PressRelease) February 07, 2012 - Calgary, Alberta - Loreck Homes President and Founder, Len Gieck will be returning to Guatemala with the not-for-profit organization, Arms of Jesus, to build homes in March for villages which have been devastated by earthquakes. Gieck and his team will also be working on improving the school in Parramos.

Through past trips, Gieck and various other members of Loreck's staff, traders, and suppliers have built over 100 homes, and provided villagers with food and water filters. "We get so caught up in our own lives that we forget that there are others who could use our help," says Gieck, "Building homes in Guatemala is a great way to use our skills to give back to a less fortunate community."

Funds for these building projects have all been provided through donations in Canada, and volunteers who participate pay for their own transportation to Guatemala. Anyone interested in donating for these projects can contact Loreck Homes at 403-256-3042. Donors will receive a tax exemption receipt.
