  • (1888PressRelease) January 21, 2012 - Allan Jones is quoted as saying, "My father always told me to give more than my fair share, and I believe anyone who is successful owes it to the community to give back." Founder and CEO of Check Into Cash, the company that pioneered modern payday advance, he has long been known for his philanthropy all over Bradley County.

Partnering with state-funded program tnAchieves, Jones has established a local branch called bradleyAchieves. The scholarship will provide money for college, as well as mentoring, in exchange for community service. This is a last-dollar scholarship - meaning the amount is applied after all other scholarships and financial aid options have been applied.

It was important for Jones to see his community be built on a solid education. The mentoring aspect of the program was specifically the reason that Allan Jones was passionate to get involved in the bradleyAchieves project.

Working alongside Cleveland Community State College, these loans give every student from every walk of life a fighting chance to get a college degree. In addition, it gives local members of our community to make a difference by mentoring local students who need extra help.

Allan Jones of Cleveland TN believes that bradleyAchieves has the potential to change the outlook of Bradley County and Cleveland City students who may worry that they won't be able to afford college. To learn more about tnAchieves, visit http://www.tnachieves.org
