In addition to wine and other refreshments, the event will feature original Honduran artwork available for purchase.

"Those who attend the wine tasting can enjoy a beautiful afternoon at the winery while knowing they are helping someone in great need," said Glen Evans, founder and director of Art for Humanity. "We are looking forward to expanding our network of supporters through this event."

One of the poorest countries in the western hemisphere, Honduras has a population of 8.2 million people. Approximately 66 percent of Hondurans live in poverty. Art for Humanity was founded in 2002 with the goal of fostering self-sufficiency and economic development throughout Honduras. The organization has sponsored numerous programs and donation campaigns over the years, including the founding of the Leadership Center, a residential college in Honduras offering business education and training to locals.

"Hope for Honduras is a great opportunity for the community to get involved in a cause that matters," Evans added. "The price of one ticket alone can make a tremendous difference in the life of a Honduran."

Paradise Springs Winery is located at 13219 Yates Ford Road in Clifton, Virginia. Parking is available on site. Tickets for the wine tasting are $30 in advance and can be purchased online by January 19 at www.artforhumanity.org/event. The price of tickets at the door is $35.
