  • Orlando, FL (1888PressRelease) May 11, 2016 - Seniors First, Inc., a local nonprofit dedicated to helping seniors maintain their health and independence, commemorates 50 years of serving our community this May. To further mark this milestone, the organization will be holding an anniversary party on May 17, 2016 at the Sheraton Orlando North Hotel in Maitland, at which time it will reveal a new brand.

The intimate celebration will be honoring the volunteers, donors and staff that have made its golden anniversary possible. Joined by Annetta Wilson, an award-winning journalist, media trainer and success coach, the event will recognize the people that have made Seniors First the largest social services organization benefiting senior citizens in Greater Orlando.

"I'm proud to serve as Chair of the Board for an organization that has provided meals and other important services to thousands of seniors over the last 50 years," said Gordon Arkin, Seniors First Board Chair. "I'm confident that Seniors First will continue to provide these essential services as long as they are needed by seniors in our community."

Seniors First has also undergone an extensive rebrand. The logo that served the nonprofit so well over the years no longer reflects the expansive list of services and programs it provides for more than 5,000 Central Florida seniors, or its expertise and permanency in its field. The new design features an updated logo, representative of changes the company has made since its astonishing growth and development. In addition to the new logo, Seniors First will unveil a polished tagline and new print and digital collateral that better embody its main priorities. The new pieces include a redesigned website, newsletter and eblast templates, social media graphics and brochures, in conjunction with complete branding and stationery packages.

"When I think about 50 years of service to senior citizens in our community, I'm reminded that although much has changed, the one constant has been the dedication of our volunteers, donors, board, staff and community partners," said Marsha Lorenz President/CEO of Seniors First. "It is that dedication that will ensure we are able to continue to provide services that keep our seniors living safe, healthy and independent lives well into the future."

More information about the rebrand will be announced following the live unveiling.

The new identity was developed and executed by Appleton Creative, a full-service advertising and marketing agency located in Downtown Orlando. "We take great pride in working with nonprofits and particularly enjoyed going through the process with Seniors First," said Diana LaRue, Owner and Creative Director of Appleton. "We are looking forward to the brand reveal and being a part of Seniors First's continued success."
