Local Businesses To Host Ultimate Baby Shower
On June 3, 2011 from 6-9pm, The Giggling Green Bean, a local eco-friendly baby boutique, will host The Ultimate Baby Shower at their location on 3929 Tennyson St. in Denver. Conceived (pun intended) by owner Amy Mann, the event is intended to highlight local businesses while being a fun evening for new and expecting parents.

"The internet age of search engines and online forums has put a lot of information at our finger tips. But that can be even more overwhelming," says Mann. "We wanted to create a space where new parents could come and feel comfortable. Whether you're looking for cloth diapers, breastfeeding support, or just a safe place to make the first solo trip out of the house with you new baby, we want to be there to help."
The village that Mann has assembled includes a childbirth educator, lactation educator, early childhood development specialist, CPR instructor and more. "We offer a wide variety of classes and support groups for new parents," says Mann. The Giggling Green Bean hosts several classes every week, many at low or no cost.
To help new parents further grow their village, The Giggling Green Bean will host the Ultimate Baby Shower with other local businesses on Friday June 3rd from 6-8pm. Businesses participating include Hops & Pie, Lovely Baby Pre & Postnatal Education, Patience Bleskan MA, Hip Violet, Stroller Strides, Hecho en Mexico, Shine Boutique, Spree Photography, Darci Amundson Photography, Eunice Brownlee Photography, Happy Baby Food, and Baby K'tan. At the event new and expecting parents will have the opportunity to chat with local experts in all things baby, plus have a chance to win over $1500 in product and services.
After discovering a lack of places to buy cloth diapers in the Denver area, Amy Mann founded Denver Diaper Co. in October of 2007. A year and a half (and many customer visits to her dining room) later, she decided to open a storefront location to better serve the community. And so in July of 2009, The Giggling Green Bean, Inc. was born. It is The Giggling Green Bean's mission to provide new and expecting parents with the best products for their babies and the planet.
