  • Miami, FL (1888PressRelease) December 11, 2013 - Living Color Aquariums (www.livingcolor.com), the global industry leader in the design and manufacturing of iconic custom aquariums and themed exhibits, recently partnered with Make-A-Wish® Southern Florida to fulfill a child's dream to build a unique saltwater aquarium at his father's church.

Ten-year-old Benjamin Trevino, who suffers from a skeletal malformation, loves the ocean and wants to grow up to be a marine biologist. Earlier this year, he made a very special request to Make-A-Wish. He wished for the stars of Nat Geo WILD's "Fish Tank Kings" to build a custom aquarium at his father's church. Ministerio Esperanza Church, located in Fort Myers, Florida, is to feature a rectangular 270 gallon, six foot long saltwater aquarium. The saltwater fishes and coral will be hand-picked by Benjamin. "Our custom exhibits and aquariums aren't exclusively for large companies, museums and celebrities," said Mat Roy, star of "Fish Tank Kings" and president of Living Color Aquariums. "Benjamin's knowledge and love for marine life is inspiring and the staff and I are honored to be working toward fulfilling his wish."

Other state-of-the-art projects undertaken by Living Color Aquariums include a partnership with the designers at Nordstrom Department Stores to develop specially made aquarium habitats for 5 new locations across the U.S. The Living Color engineers will utilize their world-renowned "Nautilus" design from their Discovery Collection. This 180 gallon half-round saltwater aquarium is co-conceptualized by Eric Warren of Aquarium Concepts, Inc., who has added laminated cabinetry with pictures and educational specs for the featured marine life. Living Color Aquariums has installed more than 30 custom aquariums for Nordstrom Department Stores since 2005.

"Kids and their parents will love it," added Roy. "This design is based on our many museum exhibits with similar layouts. Children will be able to learn about these saltwater fish while watching them in their enclosed marine habitat."

The new exhibits will be featured in 5 Nordstrom locations around the U.S. in their "Children's Shoe Center." For more information on Nordstrom, please visit: http://nordstrom.com/.

Toyota of Deerfield Beach's dealership has recently reached out to Living Color to add a one-of-a-kind custom aquarium to their customer lounge bar. This 12 foot long, rectangular, high-top aquarium will hold 360 gallons and will feature Toyota's iconic red theme and logo within its tank. This exhibit will be a spectacular addition to the dealership's client amenities area. For more information on Toyota of Deerfield Beach, please visit: http://www.toyotaofdeerfieldbeach.com/.
