  • Oklahoma City, OK (1888PressRelease) July 17, 2013 - The Institute for Economic Empowerment of Women (IEEW) (http://ieew.org), a nonprofit organization that encourages women's leadership and entrepreneurship through education and mentoring initiatives, has announced that the fourth annual PEACE THROUGH BUSINESS® fashion show, "Jewel: Economic Empowerment of Women," will be held on Tuesday, July 23 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at 5810 N. Classen Blvd., Suite 1. Eden Salon and Spa will co-host the event with Liberté, an exclusive women's boutique specializing in versatile, business chic fashions and accessories. The show will feature a display of the latest trends in clothing and accessories and include a blind auction, 20 percent of all purchases will directly benefit IEEW. Several Afghan and Rwandan women entrepreneurs from this year's graduating class of PEACE THROUGH BUSINESS® students will be in attendance to celebrate a night of culture and style while highlighting the importance of women empowerment around the globe.

This event is one of several occurring during IEEW's PEACE THROUGH BUSINESS® Mentorship Week. PEACE THROUGH BUSINESS® is a business training and mentorship program for women entrepreneurs in Afghanistan and Rwanda established by IEEW CEO and founder Dr. Terry Neese. Through in-country education, leadership development and mentorship training, the women acquire the necessary skills to succeed in their business communities and foster a strong public policy agenda in their home countries. As the women spend a week with their mentors, they are able to connect on a personal and business level as they gain a hands-on experience to develop their entrepreneurial and leadership skills. This year's class will graduate from PEACE THROUGH BUSINESS® at the AT&T Performing Arts Center in Dallas on Tuesday, July 30, following months of study and hands-on experience.

    QUOTE:
