  • Newark, NJ (1888PressRelease) May 16, 2019 - Levine, Jacobs & Company, LLC, once again, used their tax season to give back to the community. Each year during this busy time, the accounting firm selects a charity for which they raise money, collect donations, or both. This year’s recipient was “Movers for Moms.”

As part of its Movers for Moms® program, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK partners with local businesses and organizations to collect essential care items for women staying in local domestic abuse or homeless shelters. Once donations are collected, they are delivered to shelters around Mother’s Day.

According to Michael H. Karu, CPA/CFF, “Being part of the community does not just mean that we work here. We need to be part of the community and help others, who are not as fortunate as we. We may not be able to change someone’s life, but maybe we can make it a little better, even for one day.”

Donations included nice soaps, hair styling products, shampoos and conditioners, pillows, blankets, slippers, and other basic clothing items. Levine, Jacobs & Company served as a drop off location.

Levine, Jacobs & Company, LLC has been a sponsor for numerous causes and charitable organizations such as Relay for Life, The Livingston Little League, Toys for Tots, PKD Foundation, The Fall Tune-Up Soccer Tournament, The Big L Club, Livingston Summerfest, as well as an active supporter of many other local organizations.

Levine, Jacobs & Company, L.L.C. maintains memberships in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants. The firm prides itself on its teamwork abilities where “every account receives the talent and expertise of the whole firm.”
