  • New York, NY (1888PressRelease) October 21, 2011 - Levin Management's year-long, multi-million dollar renovation of 59-year-old Hamilton Plaza is nearing completion. The renovation of the 184,272-square-foot center, located in Hamilton Twp., N.J., includes significant upgrades to the common areas, and the addition of two pad sites and a 10,000-square-foot end cap.

Long-time anchor tenant ShopRite has renovated and expanded its store from some 53,000 square feet to more than 83,000 square feet, and now carries the World Class Store designation. A.C. Moore, another long-time anchor, has renovated its 20,400-square-foot store as well.

"Hamilton Plaza looks brand new, existing tenants are expanding or renovating, and great new tenants are joining us," stated Levin's president and chief operating officer Matthew K. Harding. "We believe strongly in keeping properties looking up-to-date and fresh," he said, "and the results here are again bearing that philosophy out."

Levin's leasing representative for the property, Barry Greenberg, added that "we are delighted to be adding two excellent restaurants to our tenant mix. Moe's Southwest Grill has leased 2,600 square feet in a former Blockbuster pad, and Texas Roadhouse has leased a new 6,500-square-foot pad. Another new pad, designed with a bank in mind, is available."

Levin's renovation focused on improving vehicular traffic at the property as well as on cosmetics. "There is so much more traffic at the center now than when it was first designed, and we wanted it to continue flowing smoothly," Harding said. "We've also replaced building façades, and added a great deal of new landscaping. And we've replaced the property's pylon sign and added new monument signs."

Also added was a 10,000-square-foot end cap, with exposure to Yardville-Hamilton Square Road as well as to Route 33. "With nearly 50,000 cars a day passing the property, we aimed to take advantage of that traffic by building closer to the road," Greenberg stated. "And as the renovation wraps up, we are seeing great interest in the new space."

Other tenants at Hamilton Plaza include Dollar Tree, Hallmark, Fashion Bug and Hair Cuttery.

Levin offers a full range of services for its clients, including leasing, property management, accounting, construction management, marketing and risk management. The company's management and leasing portfolio includes more than 90 diverse retail properties totaling more than 12.5 million square feet in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina and Florida. Properties range from neighborhood, community, lifestyle and power centers, to enclosed malls, downtown stores and mixed-use projects.

Levin's ownership approach to the business has earned it a number of distinguished awards. The company was named "Firm of the Year" by the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), New Jersey Chapter No. 1; one of America's five fastest-growing real estate managers by Chain Store Age; Top Retail Company by the Mid Atlantic Real Estate Journal; and one of the nation's Top 10 Redevelopers by Chain Store Age for the second year in a row.
