  • Atlanta, GA (1888PressRelease) September 15, 2019 - Today Dr. Lerah Lee, Congressional candidate in George’s 7th District, proposed a Republican Unity Pledge to her primary opponents asking them to be unified after the July 21st Run-Off.

“With progressive House Democrats pushing a dangerous socialist agenda, it is critical to the future of our nation that we elect a Republican next year to represent the people of the 7th District,” said Lee. “We cannot afford another 2 years of Speaker Nancy Pelosi. In order to remove her as Speaker, we must hold this seat for the GOP.”

“President Ronald Reagan understood the importance of unity and preached the 11th commandment. By unifying behind the nominee, we are increasing our chances for victory,” said Lee. “I am encouraging my opponents to sign the pledge. For the sake of our nation and future generations, we cannot lose this seat which would take us one step closer to the Democrats’ socialist agenda.”

The Republican Unity Pledge simply asks Lee’s opponents to unify after the July 21st Run Off behind the Republican nominee to defeat the Democrat opposition. He or she would encourage his or her supporters to join the nominee’s team.

Lee has emailed the pledge other Republican candidates including Lisa Babbage, Ben Bullock, Mark Gonsalves, Lynne Homrich, Rich McCormick, Joe Profit, Jacqueline Tseng and Renee Unterman.

Lee is hoping that her opponents will follow her leadership and declare their unity before the campaigns become too heated.

Lerah Lee is a devoted wife and mother of five, an educator, a fiscal conservative and proud Georgian. She’s not a professional politician or owned by special interest groups. Lee is determined to make Washington accountable to us and to stopping the socialist Democrat-giveaway agenda.
