Le Meridien Amman Commemorates World Food Programme by Distributing Food Parcels in Karak

  • (1888PressRelease) November 09, 2010 - This initiative focused on fighting hunger and participating in programmes that support nourishment through Le Meridien Amman's staff donation of their meal on that day, favour of students, parents, teachers and school board members in Shihan School in Karak Governorate. The food parcels contained all the necessary nutrients for a complete, balanced and healthy meal. The hotel associates also donated money to purchase basic nutritional items, in cooperation with the Jordanian Food Bank, and will be distributed to less fortunate families.

    The theme of this year's observance is "United against Hunger", chosen to recognise the efforts made in the fight against world hunger at national, regional and international levels.
