Laura U, Inc. Celebrates Their Upcoming Philanthropic Event, the FallArtFare
Laura U, Inc. presents its philantropic FallArtFare benefiting Houston's chapter of Communities in Schools. The evening will feature the distinguished works of two prominent Texas artists, Joseph Cohen and McKay Otto.
- Houston, TX (1888PressRelease) September 06, 2012 - On Wednesday, October 24, Houston based interior design firm and home furnishings boutique, Laura U, Inc., will host its FallArtFare. The FallArtFare will support the Houston Chapter of Communities In Schools (CIS), a non-profit organization providing direct services and resources to under-served children with unmet needs in the Greater Houston area.
The FallArtFare will be held at Laura U, Inc. at 1840 Westheimer Rd., from 6pm to 9pm. The evening will showcase the noteworthy works of two vibrant, Texas artists, Joseph Cohen and McKay Otto. Guests will be offered a chance to enjoy the featured artist's exhibitions, food and drink provided by St. Genevieve, and a live DJ. This year's FallArtFare, benefiting Communities In Schools, has garnered support from Audio Video Designs, Inc. and Hokanson Carpets. The goal of the FallArtFare is to bring artists, art collectors, designers, and the design-inspired together for an exquisite evening benefitting a worthy cause.
Houston's Chapter of Communities In Schools has had the privilege of serving the Greater Houston area since 1979. Communities In Schools of Houston, Inc. is a member of the nation's leading organization dedicated to empowering at-risk students to overcome the many academic, emotional, and social obstacles that hinder their success in school. CIS of Houston is achieving impressive results in some of the most economically disadvantaged areas of our city by delivering critical social services to the children at risk. In April, 2012, CIS of Houston was ranked among the Top Ten Charities in the nation as evaluated by Charity Navigator.
