  • (1888PressRelease) September 24, 2010 - SAN DIEGO - Many businesses would like to tap into the B2B potential in Latin America and the Caribbean and it is getting easier thanks to the U.S.-based company TUDLA .

"Imagine being able to tap into the top 500 businesses and their 10,000 locations in Latin America," TUDLA's Chief Financial & Marketing Officer Gary Gorton. "These businesses control approximately 80 percent of the revenue in the region and being connected to them could be a big boost for just about any business."

Infonertia, a leading global provider of market intelligence data and services, owns TUDLA (Technology User Database Latin America), the number one provider of market intelligence for the Caribbean and Latin America region. The company has developed a plan to be the provider of the first of its kind solution for tier one/large accounts planning and demand generation tools - Latin America Enterprise-Linkage.

Although this new service will help any B2B sales organization, it was formulated to specifically assist technology and communications sales/marketing organizations to better align their resources for offering solutions to the very largest accounts in the Latin America and Caribbean emerging market.

Expected to launch in November, the development of this new Latin America Enterprise-Linkage solution includes four major steps:

    1. Latin Trade 500 - Similar to the Fortune 500 in the U.S., a database was created that includes the largest companies in the Latin America region (these are considered tier-one businesses).

    2. Account Research - The TUDLA team researched every location of each Latin Trade 500 business and listed each of the locations in the 31 countries that make up the region.

    3. Match to the ITDB (IT Decision-Maker Database from TUDLA) - Matching the existing TUDLA database to the new information, it is anticipated that 70 percent of all business locations will already be listed (approximately 7,000 sites) and other 30 percent (or about 3,000) will be new business locations added by TUDLA.

    4. Add new sites and linkage - Phone interviews will be conducted with currently existing and new business locations. The information will be updated and/or added to the database and linked to their parent company within the region. The estimated results will be approximately 500 accounts with over 10,000 business locations linked to those accounts.

Since the largest tier-one accounts are typically the first to adopt the latest technology and the trickle-down effect is significant, information like what will be available in Latin America Enterprise-Linkage is critical to successful sales and marketing. The reality is that most companies would assign their best-selling resources to these types of accounts. The knowledge about the accounts would ideally continue to grow but keeping all the information updated and correct in a Customer Relationship Management Systems (CRM) tends to be overwhelming. Having a baseline of rigorously updated and maintained information from a reliable source like TUDLA is the key to making a major account program a success.

Gorton continued, "It is one thing to create a list of who you think are the top accounts, but knowing the IT decision-makers; identifying all of the subsidiary locations; listing who reports to who and whom; and identifying their current purchasing characteristics puts your company in a whole different league than your competition and Latin America Enterprise-Linkage will do exactly that for your business."
