  • Los Angeles-Long Beach, CA (1888PressRelease) October 11, 2011 - Latin recording artist Manny D will perform at ACT Today!'s (Autism Care and Treatment Today!) 6th Annual Denim & Diamonds for Autism fundraiser on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at the historic Ahmanson Ranch in Calabasas, California. Manny D will perform with ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" professional dancers Tony Dovolani and Anna Trebunskaya.

"This is a great opportunity for me to not only support a great cause, but to share a part of me to a new audience," says Manny D. "I am honored to have been invited to open the show. It's going to be great! Reports show one in 110 children in America is diagnosed with autism. If my role at the 6th Annual Denim & Diamonds for Autism can help at least one child with autism get the care they need, then I have fulfilled my mission that night."

Manny D, who is set to release his first national album "En La Luz" ("In the Light") this Fall, is currently working with Latin Grammy nominated and multiple BMI award winner, songwriter/producer Toby Sandoval, for 29:11 Global Entertainment, LLC record label.

"This album will bring a fusion of American Pop sounds with a blend of Latin flavor" says Manny D. "It will also give the listener an illusion of simplicity within a complex production.

While Manny D will not reveal which song he will sing at the 6th Annual Denim & Diamonds for Autism, he says the audience will get a sneak peek of what they'll experience on his new album.

"I feel confident that I can give the attendees of the 6th Annual Denim & Diamonds a taste of what's to come," adds Manny D.

Manny D recently teamed up with Latin Grammy songwriter/ vocal coach Edgar Cortazar. Edgar has worked on countless albums over his acclaimed career most notably his collaboration with international superstar Luis Miguel whose album went multi platinum the world over. Recently Cortazar was chosen to do the Spanish adaptations for Selena Gomez's hit song 'Who Says' and Demi Lovato's 'Skyscraper'. Edgar not only wrote the lyrics but also vocally trained the Disney Stars on their interpretations to guarantee a true Spanish hit. Manny D's upcoming album will contain a song co-written by Edgar and Toby Sandoval.
