  • (1888PressRelease) October 20, 2012 - Music Vibe is a new community youth project which, since its development from last year under founder Dane Swindells, has persevered to allow opportunities to young and local people who would otherwise be overlooked in a competitive world. Music Vibe offers services such as putting on gigs, teaching young people with any interest in media key components like filming, editing and design.

Registered LAGbook users can sign up to, and explore the world of local UK music from MusicVibe right on LAGbook. The music social networking website MusicVibe is now available on LAGbook as a third party application, and can be found under the "THIRD PARTY" column on the menu of most pages on LAGbook.

"The MusicVibe partnership is an awesome addition to the social networking experience of our UK users and other users interested in local UK music. MusicVibe host an appreciable amount of interviews on the MusicVibe website, plus they have the actual music files available for play or download. This way we're aiming at expanding the social music experience of our 500,000 registered users'", said Chika Nwaogu, CEO and President at LAGbook.

"With Music Vibe, we are very much committed to UK music at the minute, but obviously do want to expand, but we would like to focus on the fact that [our partnership with LAGbook] could potentially open up to 500,000 members but focus on the fact it gives 90,000 UK members the chance to share music etc", said Dane Swindells, Founder of MusicVibe.

"It's simple. Over 500,000 members can access MusicVibe right on LAGbook. They get to register on the MusicVibe platform, read and watch interviews, collaborate etc without having to refresh the app page. Everything is done inside the IFRAME screen", said Chidi Nwaogu, Co-founder of LAGbook.

Chidi continued, "According to Analytics, 90,000 of our over 1 million visitors since September 2011 are from the United Kingdom, though 90,000 is an estimated value. This is the key point to why LAGbook partnered with MusicVibe. We've got to have an appreciable amount of visits from the UK before we decide to partner with a UK-based social music network."

LAGbook is an African-based social networking website targeted specifically at the youth demographic (18-30), but permits registration of people 13 and older. The social network with over 500,000 registered members, is most popular in the Nigeria, Ghana, United States, and the United Kingdom.
