  • (1888PressRelease) February 28, 2013 - The company will display its creative work at the French Design Forum, on 14 March 2013, in central London (UK).

Founded in 2002 in New Jersey (USA) by a French-born ornamental metalworker, La Forge de Style is a specialist in artistic metalwork. Since 2009, the company has had a second production facility in the Loire Valley (in Western France). The company is dedicated to the construction of railings, stairs, doors, gates and grilles, along with high-quality furniture. Rich materials are used in the fabrication, including aluminium, brass, bronze, copper, iron and titanium.

In 2013, La Forge de Style will be developing its own range of furniture under the Mobilier de Style name. The luxury furniture, made by craftsmen in France, will represent a unique collection that displays a variety of finishes and patinas.

The company will exhibit its work at the French Design Forum 2013. This event, open to members of the trade and the media, will take place at Chandos House, in central London (UK), on 14 March. [RSVP required: see at the bottom of this press release.]

From its American birthplace to France, La Forge de Style has won great acclaim in the design and creation of upmarket pieces of furniture and metalwork. Thanks to its experience and savoir-faire, the company's craftsmanship meets the expectations of a discerning clientele.

La Forge de Style responds to requests worldwide from interior designers, architects and other interior-decoration enthusiasts. Having worked on various high-end projects, the company has built up a client base in Europe, the Far East (China and Singapore), the Middle East, Russia and the USA.

La Forge de Style has gained global recognition as a result of supplying some of the world's most beautiful luxury shops and private residences for more than 10 years. In 2010, La Forge de Style was awarded the Métiers d'Art (Artisanal Craft) label as recognition for excellence in applied art and craftsmanship. The company has also been given the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (Living Heritage Company) label, thanks to its contribution towards preserving France's artisanal heritage.

The company's team is made up of 25 highly qualified employees based in two sites - one in America and the other one in France. Thanks to its in-depth knowledge of architectural styles, La Forge de Style is able to submit custom-made drawings to clients, which are created free-hand and give an accurate idea of the piece and design that are being considered. Subsequently, AutoCAD architectural software is used to transcribe the design, in order to finalise it from a technical standpoint.

La Forge de Style then manufactures each part of the design according to time-honoured artistic traditions, while the quality is controlled at each stage of construction. Samples of different textures and patinas are produced and shown to the client for approval before being applied to the object. The company can also, if required, provide textures that will be exclusive to an individual project, thus making it unique.

From design to installation on site, and through all the stages of fabrication in the workshop, each piece is studied by the company's technical team in collaboration with the client. At his (or her) request, and depending on the complexity of the project, La Forge de Style can intervene on site in order to install the manufactured works, while co-ordinating with other trades where necessary. The project is, therefore, followed through to final and successful completion.
