  • (1888PressRelease) December 30, 2021 - In 2021, the company imported 845 motorcycles into the country. The motorcycles was delivered to 9 dealerships located in 7 regions of the country (3 of which belong to the AVTODOM Group of Companies). KTM AVTODOM plans to bring over 1000 new motorcycles next year.

    In 2021, 3 KTM AVTODOM dealerships were opened - two in Moscow (KTM AVTODOM Khimki and KTM AVTODOM on Kashirka) and one in Krasnodar (KTM AVTODOM Krasnodar). In addition, dealer agreements for the sale of KTM motorcycles were signed with several dealerships and holdings. Moscow MAJOR is one of them. The companies also received the status of official dealers: in St. Petersburg (Motopole), Krasnoyarsk (KTM-24), Irkutsk (Nautilus), Kazan (ORDA) and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk (Enduropark).

    In total, 531 new KTM motorcycles were sold in Russia. The shares of cities in which motorcycles were sold were distributed as follows:
    • Moscow - 63.09%
    • Krasnodar - 13.56%
    • St. Petersburg - 9.42%
    • Kazan - 7.53%
    • Krasnoyarsk - 4.14%
    • Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk - 2.07%
    • Irkutsk - 0.19%

    At the end of the outgoing year, three KTM AVTODOM dealerships located in Moscow and Krasnodar sold 316 motorcycles or 59.5% of the total sales of KTM in Russia. The main share of sales fell on KTM AVTODOM Khimki. 180 motorcycles were sold there. KTM AVTODOM Krasnodar and KTM AVTODOM at Kashirka followed it with 72 and 64 copies, respectively.

    The most popular KTM models on the Russian market are:
    • 390 Adventure - 84 pcs.
    • 390 Duke - 58 pcs.
    • 1290 Super Adventure S - 43 pcs.
    • 300 EXC TPI - 43 pcs.
    • 500 EXC-F - 25 pcs.

    The most popular additional equipment installed on KTM motorcycles are additional electronic functions: Quikshifter + HHS (system for keeping the motorcycle on the rise) and ATIR (automatic turn signal deactivation). In addition, options for ensuring comfort are in demand: ergonomic seats, footrests, hand protectors and luggage systems.

    In 2021, KTM AVTODOM introduced a number of new motorcycles to the Russian market, including the 1290 Super Adventure S and 1290 Super Adventure R touring enduros. Also previously not supplied to Russia 250 Adventure. Special attention should be paid to the limited naked bike KTM 1290 Super Duke RR, featuring a lightweight and reliable construction using carbon fiber, which achieves a power-to-weight ratio of 1: 1 - 180 hp. up to 180 kg.

In 2022, we plan to increase the volume of supplies and sell more than 800 motorcycles throughout Russia”, - said Dmitry Smolyakov, head of the import department of KTM AVTODOM.

The company was founded in 1953 and is one of the market leaders in Russia, where it has been represented since 2007. KTM motorcycles are now manufactured in Austria and India.     AVTODOM Group of Companies became the exclusive importer of KTM in Russia at the end of 2020. In March 2021, the first KTM AVTODOM motorcycle showroom in Khimki was opened, followed by the KTM AVTODOM dealership in Kashirka and KTM AVTODOM in Krasnodar.
