This special celebration, “Surakshabandhan,” saw students tying heartfelt Rakhis to the police personnel, along with distributing sweets as tokens of gratitude and respect.
With the enthusiastic support of dedicated college volunteers and faculty, the event beautifully blended tradition and awareness. Laughter and warmth filled the air as the rakhis were tied, followed by shared conversations over sweets.
In a memorable and practical twist, a senior officer gently advised everyone to always wear their bags frontwards, emphasizing safety in both gesture and guidance.
“Surakshabandhan reminds us that community safety isn’t just a responsibility of the few, it’s a shared bond of trust and gratitude,” said the Principal of Mithibai College, Prof. Krutika Desai.
“Today’s celebration was more than a festival, it was our way of honoring those who protect us daily,” said the Chairperson of Mithibai Kshitij, Bhoomi Shah.
