  • Orange County, CA (1888PressRelease) June 18, 2013 - KMOC is happy to announce that one of our chief instructors, Yuri Boiarsky, has achieved the rank of 2nd degree black belt.

    Striving for the highest quality training, Yuri traveled to Israel last summer and spent close to 80 hours training during the two week trip. Additionally, Yuri participated in four more days of training in the US with Avi Avisidon in order to successfully complete his 2nd degree test.

    Yuri trained and became an instructor in Natanya, Israel under Mr. Eli Avikzar, receiving his black belt from Imi Lichtenfeld himself. Yuri is a graduate of the School for Instructors at the Wingate Institute for Martial Arts Education and has spent over 20 years teaching, including for the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) as well as civilians and Israeli law enforcement personnel. Yuri provided training to Israeli security forces protecting embassies and consulates as well as local law enforcement agencies in the U.S.

    Yuri has been teaching with Krav Maga of Orange County since 2001. In addition to Krav Maga, Yuri has trained in Aikido, Boxing, kickboxing and Thai boxing. Beyond teaching adults, Yuri is a certified km-X, (Krav Maga for Kids) Instructor and the head of the program in our schools. In 2009 he co-founded the Krav Maga Martial Arts and Training Center in Mission Viejo and he currently serves as a faculty member of the MMA Conditioning Association.

    Few schools in the US have as many highly trained instructors as Krav Maga of Orange County. With seven black belt and higher instructors, every student walking through KMOC's doors has direct access to some of the most highly trained Krav Maga practitioners in Orange County.

    Krav Maga Orange County has been providing quality training in Southern California since 1992 and has taught thousands of individuals throughout Orange County. The KMOC instructor staff has over 130 years of combined teaching experience in Krav Maga and our program is the only one with seven Black Belt Level Instructors in the County. Our mission is to provide the highest level of training to our students by teaching the most current techniques for real life situations and field scenarios.
