  • (1888PressRelease) September 24, 2011 - The multi national production team of "The Soul Collector" officially launched their web site.

"The Soul Collector" is an American-Polish-Danish coproduction. The crew was communicating through the social portal Facebook even before the shooting started. In a specially created group not only location scouting were discussed but also samples of music, props, concept of poster and pure logistics.

Working title for the movie was "Libretto Amaro," but because of apparent complications related to getting the opera's copyrights, writers changed the profession of main character from the opera singer to a theatrical actress. Initially, the soundtrack for movie was going to be created by an Italian composer - Luigi Maiello, but other obligations of the artist have made it impossible. Finally, the musical part of the movie was provided by the novice in the film industry, Jakub Maksymilian Zajac, who has computer games and advertising as his credits. After the wrap, producers received an agreement from the Casa Musicale Sonzogno in Milan on using of opera work in renewed digital version. It allowed to unite the story line with the background of the action so finally we can listen "Io son l'umile ancella" ("I am the humble servant of the creative spirit").
