The New Orleans Children's Book Festival promotes literacy by providing children with the opportunity to hear readings from renowned authors. This free festival also features a variety of engaging activities for children of all ages.

    Kima Lucille Richard is a resident of St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana, a place that she affectionately refers to as "the Parish" or "South New Orleans." Kima is a Cum Laude graduate of Southern University at New Orleans; she is currently a graduate student at Our Lady of Holy Cross College, where she is pursuing a Masters degree in Counseling. In her free time, Kima enjoys writing, vintage shopping and attending plays. Kima aims to create a series of History and Heritage books that promote self-love, positive self-image, cultural awareness, and cultural pride. Possibilities, is the first book in the History and Heritage Series.
