  • Salem, OR (1888PressRelease) April 16, 2013 - Kelley D. Hamilton, CEO and owner of Bonaventure Senior Living, announces that Bonaventure's assisted living communities have raised $151,250 for charities. The fundraiser was part of a fundraising initiative that began last fall, when Kelley D. Hamilton and his staff announced that for each new move-in during November and December, Bonaventure would donate $1,000 to a charity of that person's choice.

With locations in the western region of the U.S., Bonaventure Senior Living strives to give back to the communities in which it resides. The goal with this initiative, Kelley D. Hamilton explains, was that citizens would be able to participate in giving back to their local communities.

In addition to offering a $1,000 donation for any new residents, Kelley D. Hamilton also offered an additional $500 donation to any individual who referred a new resident. The $500 offer was also extended to any 501(c)(3) charity that referred a person who moved into a Bonaventure Senior Living facility. This provided a great way for local charities to add to their funds while also helping connect friends and family with an assisted living facility that provides the best senior living experience, according to Kelley D. Hamilton.

In order to ensure that current residents were included in the project, Kelley D. Hamilton added a feature that allowed each of Bonaventure Senior Living's communities to choose six local charities. Those charities will each receive $250, Kelley D. Hamilton explains.

The project brought in a total of $151,250 for 236 charities in Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Montana, Idaho and Colorado. Kelley D. Hamilton adds that the home office of Bonaventure Senior Living will kick in an additional $70,000.

"Giving back to the local community while honoring our residents and their values is absolutely the right thing to do," Kelley D. Hamilton states, adding that Bonaventure Senior Living wants to help residents by supporting local charities that matter to them.

The giving campaign culminates in a celebration held in each community, which Kelley D. Hamilton says will celebrate the success of each campaign. Because it was such a success, Kelley D. Hamilton also announced Bonaventure Senior Living will organize this event each year.

Kelley D. Hamilton has a long history of working with assisted care facilities, having joined Bonaventure Senior Living in 2000. In his 13 years as CEO, Kelley D. Hamilton has expanded Bonaventure Senior Living from four communities to now operating and managing 37 communities in six different states.

According to Kelley D. Hamilton, Bonaventure Senior Living has a history of helping others. The facility has long offered seniors a place to come if they need a hot meal, says Kelley D. Hamilton. Recently, an Oregon-based Bonaventure facility offered its facilities to displaced residents of a nearby adult care home. Kelley D. Hamilton believes this commitment to the community helps set Bonaventure apart from others, emphasizing its place in the communities in which each facility is located. Kelley D. Hamilton says Bonaventure will soon be expanding into Colorado Springs, Colorado, furthering its growth.

For more information about what Bonaventure Senior Living has to offer, Kelley D. Hamilton recommends visiting Bonaventure's website at retirementperfected.com. Kelley D. Hamilton states that those interested in residency can stop by for a tour. Tours may be scheduled on the facilities' website, Kelley D. Hamilton says, with a brochure available to also highlight Bonaventure's offerings.
