  • Charlotte-Gastonia-Rock Hill, NC-SC (1888PressRelease) May 16, 2014 - The Kaleidoscope Cultural Arts Festival will celebrate its second festival in its series of four, on Saturday, May 31st in downtown Kannapolis, North Carolina. This family oriented, grassroots celebration takes over the streets of downtown Kannapolis in support of the arts with live bands, street performers, local artists and authors, poetry readings, vendors, food and more.

The first Kaleidoscope Cultural Arts Festival in April drew over 500 people including special guest, David Murdock who enjoyed visiting the many artists and vendors as well as participating in the many activities. May's festival is expected to exceed last month's with added vendors, activities, sponsors and musical lineups. The next two festivals are scheduled for September 27th and October 25th.

The Kaleidoscope festivals throughout 2014 are free for art vendors. The Festival offers a unique collection of aboriginal arts, crafts and products from the Kannapolis area. The goal of the Festival is to help boost local art and talent as well as turn an empty store-front town into a flourishing, Old Greenwich Village-style art district.

There is still time for artists, musicians and other talent to reserve their space. Online registration forms can be found on the KannapolisArts.com website. This is a free event that will run from noon until 4:00 PM.
