(1888PressRelease) June 10, 2019 - Artplex Gallery is pleased to announce upcoming exhibition "Jonjo Elliott: Glass Half Full" featuring new work by artist Jonjo Elliott. This will be Elliott's first exhibition with the gallery. The exhibition will display large-scale still life paintings in the artist's signature bright colors and simplified, expressionist forms.

Expanding on the work he began in 2018, Elliott will be transforming the gallery's main room with a collection of large-scale paintings evoking the idyllic island of Crete. Plants thrive in environments bathed in color and pattern. His focus is on the crossover between abstraction and representation, and he is constantly exploring where painting can take him and the viewer as a means of expression.

The artist has always claimed to be a "glass half full" person and his paintings project such joy. His paintings are filled with exciting color to brighten the world around him.

Elliott says about his work, "I have a knack of being happy most of the time and I want to share this with people that see my work. I want the works to offer an escape; somewhere viewers can lose themselves for a while among the colors."
